Sunday 19th May 2013
We are pleased to announce that we have a new date for the Clay Pigeon Shoot. The Shoot will now be on Sunday 19th May 2013.
The Clay Shoot is fortunate enough this year to have sponsorship from Land Rover, AF Dickson, Cirrus Trading and Fisher German, plus Stand Sponsorship from other local companies.
This year the event will be held on Sunday 24th March, with shooting starting at 10am. The day will see teams of 4 competitors shoot four 10 bird Sporting Stands and a Team 100 bird Flush. Several prizes are up for grabs; Flush, under 21 Team, and Men and Ladies High Guns, and of course the cup for the overall winning team! Last year the event attracted over 35 teams and interest is high for this year.
There will also be a “Have A Go” Stand where for £5 for 10 clays beginners can get a few tips, or the more experienced shots can get their eye in before competing!
Following the success of 2012, we will once again have a “Pool Shoot”, Competitors will shoot 10 clays, with scores being kept, and the overall winner receiving a cash prize.
New for 2013 is the “Semi Automatic” Stand where you will attempt to shoot one clay from eight shots with a Pump Action Shotgun (available to borrow on the Stand). Interest is particularly high in this stand and is likely to create a great atmosphere of “friendly competitiveness”!!
A bacon roll and coffee will be available on arrival and a hot lunch will be provided. All this is part of your entry fee! And don’t forget to bring any partners with you as they will be able to watch the proceedings and buy lunch or a drink at the bar.
During the day there will be an auction of lots where proceeds will be donated to the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance. This charity is the local air rescue service, which routinely carries senior doctors and consultants to the scene of accidents in just minutes, providing life saving help at the scenes of accidents and en –route to hospitals.
Team entry is £150 or you can enter as an individual for £35. To download an entry form please click here
