Step into history on August Bank Holiday at Holdenby House! Join us for one of these rare opportunities to immerse yourself in the rich heritage of magnificent Holdenby. Once the largest house in Elizabethan England, then the Palace of King James I and eventual prison of his Son Charles I.
For this weekend only we will be once again exhibiting our ever popular Royal Exhibition, showcasing and detailing all monarchs that have touched Holdenby from Queen Elizabeth I to King Charles III
You will also be able to walk in the beautiful Gardens where King Charles II walked 375 years ago and visit the Falconry Centre to see the birds of prey that he would have flown.
In the beautiful Stableyard, you will find The Old Stableyard Tearoom serving delicious Homemade Cakes, Fresh Leaf Teas and freshly ground Coffees and the Holdenby Shop offering a stunning range of boutique gifts.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR YOUR VISIT
Disabled Guests
We welcome guests with disabilities and work hard to ensure that you can access as much of the site as possible. Disabled parking will be clearly marked, and Blue Badges should be displayed. We hope visitors will understand that the gravelled paths, although not ideal for wheelchairs are part of the character of the house.
Dogs at Holdenby
Due to the animals and birds in our Falconry we have sadly had to take the decision to allow assistance dogs only.
