COVID-19 & HOLDENBY HOUSE
Back in March, we made the difficult decision to close Holdenby schools’ programme until further notice. We cannot tell you how sad we were to do this, but we had to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff on site.
We are constantly reviewing the everchanging situation with a view to reopen our schools’ programme from January 2021 onwards.
If you have a pre-booked visit and would like to rearrange your plans or if you would like to book a future visit, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
And, of course, stay safe and follow government advice
Holdenby has the most awarded Heritage Education Programme in the UK.
Our seven consecutive Sandford Awards recognise our innovative living history projects, where staff and pupils are in character for a range of hands on activities.
All our projects marry the requirements of the National Curriculum with real aspects of Holdenby history. The House, Grade I listed Gardens, 14th century Church and Estate are all integrated into the programme by our trained and costumed interpreters.
Teachers are invited to come for a pre-visit prior to the actual day to ensure that the project chosen satisfies their needs.
