GARDENS & FALCONRY CENTRE 2021

We are delighted to be able to welcome you back to Holdenby Gardens & Icarus Falconry Centre with some exciting new features to see during your visit!

Firstly, as Falconry has been practised at Holdenby since King James I owned it, we are this year offering the exciting addition of visiting Icarus Falconry’s magnificent resident birds of prey as part of your visit.

Secondly, as you explore our beautiful Grade I listed gardens, you will find plenty of new features and information evoking the time when Holdenby was a royal Palace for James I and a prison to Charles I. You can even stand on the exact spot where King Charles I once stood when he was taken away from Holdenby by Oliver Cromwell’s men in 1647, just 18 months before his execution.

And this year we will not just be open on Sundays but also on Saturdays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 18th April to 10th October 2021.

Rest Assured – Our Openings will continue to keep a cautious approach to covid guidelines.

Following the latest government announcement regarding the further easing of covid restrictions, at Holdenby House Gardens & Falconry Centre we will continue to keep a cautious approach in order to keep our visitors and staff safe. Do, please contact us if you have any questions or concerns, we are confident that we can put your mind at rest.
