A special evening of 20th Century music in a 16th Century setting.
You are cordially invited to a rather special evening of music at Holdenby by the Slate Quartet on Friday 24th October.
Formed in 2022 at the Royal Academy of Music, the Slate Quartet performs a variety of repertoire, from Classical to Contemporary.
Taking pride in championing lesser-known and modern works, they actively programme composers from diverse backgrounds or rarely performed pieces into all of their concerts.
They have performed at the Royal Festival Hall, Kings Place, the Petworth Festival and in the South of France as part of their residency at the Ferrandou Atelier in 2024. In the last year Slate recorded their debut EP – Brett Dean’s String Quartet No. 1. “Eclipse” – in collaboration with the composer.
